Finally installed a new tinted windshield with the 3m window weld kit.
Decided to order clips from Roseville; great. Clips were very close to originals.
Cleaning up the surround molding. Coming out ok without extreme polishing.

Yeah it does, brand new set of Motive blue box gears, turns out they aren't lapped, obvious in the!
At least the S-Trac doesn't rattle like the Tri-Trac's did in the 8.75! So after I install the OEM Spicer gears (lapped) I should finally be good to go!!!! ::)

OEM Spicer are more money but I went with them as Cass highly suggested them  when I swapped out mine too.

Time to educate the naive. What does lapped mean?

Lapped gear sets have been set up in a machine, similar to a third member housing, adjusted to correct depth and backlash for the particular gear set and machine run with fine lapping past to smooth out the tooth faces, if you look at the gears in my photo they still have machine marks on the faces, a typical quick way to tell is if they have been lapped the pinion head will have the pionion head shim size required for that pinion only engraved on it, not always but mostly, I'm learning this

I took Nina out with my daughter and her boyfriend and we spent two and half hours shooting video on two miles of a rolling, twisting road with a GoPro and a another camera. I can't wait to see the footage and do the editing!
