I have a 1972 Challenger with factory a/c, but I tossed the original wiring harnesses years ago.  The new harness i bought does not have any wiring for the blower motor or any a/c components, at least not that I can see.  I assume I bought a non-a/c harness but it seems now the a/c harness must be purchased separately?  If I get this harness, does anyone have any info how to install it?  No idea where in the fuse block or how to route the wires.  Thanks for any help on this!

Sorry no help on this , I am not sure I have ever even worked on an original AC car

A/C harness overlays the standard harness,  there are a couple plugs that connect the two harnesses.... Search the electrical I posted schematics in another thread & after I posted them I deleted them off my computer...

I'll make it easy, I did the search...

:iagree:  @eabsales1  you can believe anything @1 Wild R/T says.  He's about as smart as it gets when it comes to E-Bodies.  :worship:

And welcome to the site!   :welcome:

There's two additional AC harnesses. One for under the hood and one for behind the dash. Both plug into the existing harness.

Thanks for the help.  So there is a separate harness (that I think I can get from Classic Industries) that plugs under the dash as shown in the picture you provided, that goes into the engine compartment and plugs into the blower and compressor?

@anlauto I have only found one harness.  I only found one plug with a single wire on my existing harness under the hood.  I cant figure out where the additional harness would plug into the existing one.

The under hood harness plugs in at the bulkhead connector to unused cavities near the neutral switch wiring...

This is an under hood wire harness. As Mr. Wild has pointed out the two green and blue spades plug into the transmission wire harness in the lower left corner of the bulkhead. Then the green wire plugs into your blower motor. Remaining three blue wires plug into the low pressure switch on the drier and the blue wire off of the compressor.

@1 Wild R/T and @anlauto Do these look like the harnesses I would need?

Just a thought. Year one only lists the under hood harness for 70 and 71.

Thanks everyone especially @1 Wild r/t and @anlauto for all the help. I have been trying to figure this out for a while and you got me straightened out in less than 24 hours!  I am getting parts ordered and look to get this working.  I would expect to have another question or 2 when i get the parts, but lets hope for the best!
