  curious as to others experiences as I'm considering something like this for the Javelin? These would also work for a Cuda

or without the halo feature....

an issue that concerns me is are they " really" dot approved? they may have the letters "DOT" on the plastic lenses but are they really ? I assume they are made offshore....

ohhh I like those...good price too!!!!

I may have to get a pair of those for my Cuda.

Hurry up and get them and let me know how they work out!

LOL yeah she @Brads70 ...my car is down for the year so at best it will be next spring!

So you go first!!!

Jason

Found these on a Javelin if it helps you decide at all?

Apparently it's a holiday today and mail didn't run, so no bulbs. The H7's are the same manufacturer as the H4's, so hopefully I'll be able to get one of them to work without to much pain, either way I'll take pics.  :)

Would there be anything wrong with using the H4 in the inner headlight position. You would only be using one led connection, but.....
Would the H7 be a higher lumens?
The reflector has to be unique to sit the the bucket correctly so it would have a different part # ,
You can buy Led bulbs in almost any output you desire , I am running 160 watt equivalent vs 55 watt factory for example , really you do not need the dual bulbs low or high beam from the single bulb is beyond adequate .

Tantster

The H7 bulbs were smaller as mentioned but I didn't count on the harness being smaller as well. To overcome that I made jumpers and since I had to do that I used the the H4 bulbs. All 4 are installed and I'm pretty happy with the outcome.

Katfish

That looks like a standard 110AC wall plug?
Is the H7 that much brighter compared to the H4 LED?

Put on the same set (same Ebay seller to boot) on my 74 Challenger, primary beams only so far. Definitely notice the difference in the color of the light. Have noticed like the OP that you really cannot adjust the focus of these per se. They do not really seem to have a central beam pattern.. more like if you take a mag light and unfocus the beam. Still an improvement over the originals IMHO. Wonder if these with LED's on 3 would be any better as far as focus?

I believe you want a LED with 2 emitters , 1 one top. low beam & one on the bottom , high beam
Those have 3 emitters , not sure how that would work , probably why you are not getting a clean cut off line .

I have the same LED's as the OP with 2 emitters.

Topcat

I would go LED if they had a Jeweling pattern that closely resembled like the originals.

I like to keep the Old School look.

Halos ETC.  Not for me.

I went with the octane lighting H4 led kit. World of difference and I don't think it takes too much of the classic look away. No modification needed. All plug and play.

that looks nice, exactly what I want for my '70. You said they are "octane", do you have a link? How much?

Octane lighting is the company. I bought them off Amazon. Kit was 199.99 and it came with 4 glass housings, 4 H4 led bulbs and two female H4 to male H7 adapters. The lights that came with them were OK, I just didn't like that they had fans on them. So I bought 4 beamtech H4 led's as they were fanless. I'll keep the ones that came with the kit as back-ups.

Circling back to my LED's... I might replace them with the same setup you are using. Can you toss up a link to the beamtech H4's you used?
