Hello
my 3 speed wiper motor doesn't return to the park position. WHere can I send it to be repaired? I have seen someone on ebay that will restore to former glory for 329$ plus shipping, but I don't know if they can perform good work. The motor is working, but it doesnt return. When tried on the bench, it worked good, and parking feature worked.
Thank you

Just throwing this out there but if it parked when tested on the bench wouldn't that mean that it's possibly the wiper switch.

Have three switches just redone by Devin Duke...they work the same...no return

I read on another forum that if either the motor or switch doesn't have a good ground it'll prevent parking.

antonellomopar

Yes...have to check the grounds. Just tried the switches and found this problem. Before sending away the motor, will try to check the ground. Thank you

Ns1aar

Yes make sure the switch is properly ground, don't hold the switch in you hand and try and run it you will then be the ground and it hurts

Fern

I had the same problem, ran a seperate ground to the switch and problem solved.

Here's an old video from Jules (R.I.P.) showing the importance of the switch being grounded. Watch to the end.

Thank you for the infos. WIll try to run a separate ground wire.

For those that wish to restore the motor themselves, where is currently the best place to get the repair kit?

I don't have the part number handy at the moment but it is a kit from Chrysler with most of what
you need to freshen up the motor.

I've seen a few kits on fleabay but most of them they look like they have been submerged in salt water
for a decade or two and may have parts missing...

there really isn't a resto kit
contact me and I'll see what i can do

That would be for a 73 and later motor
69-71 would be 3621845 and 3420871  all these can be superseded
