Can someone help me decipher this engine pad?  I know it is a 440, but what about the "B" and the 12   27?

Engine was assembled Dec 27th 1965....  B makes it a 1966 model year vehicle...

Thanks!  :bigthumb:

It should be a steel crank 10:1 compression approx 440 with the closed chamber heads , probably 516 casting

Thanks!  I like this place  :bigthumb:

Almost looks like a time capsule ... where was that thing hiding all these years before you found it??
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

In a '66 Imperial Crown.  The 727 is odd in that the output yoke is "bolted" onto the output shaft with a through bolt, like a crank balancer on a crank.  I have never seen that before  :dunno:
Does anyone have any info on a '66 Torqueflite?   Is it "junk"?

:wrenching:

Output / main shaft is different , should be able to use the rest with a different main shaft & possibly tailhousing on it

Mrbill426

Thanks!  Saving the combo for another future pipe-dream project I have a "shell" for; probably in a next life to be honest.
