Not sure I follow, does that mean the cam tunnel is bored .021" out of position?

He never gave me answer just said it now fits like a glove. So I am assuming the tunnel bore was off, just my opinion. I am hoping to hear next that it is all together and ready to turn over....... :fingerscrossed:

:woohoo: Some positive news for a change. I heard that the engine was turned, oil pressure was at 80 psi and there were no leaks. Oil was flowing well thru the Clearview and at this point no leaks. Of course it wasn't started but that is a milestone. There was a concern from the builder that the oil coming from the lifters is questionable, maybe since it wasn't heated. He is going to talk to the lifter sleeve guy and see if that is normal. If not he said he would niche them for better flow. If all is good the intake, distributor, etc. go back on and it goes to the shop for a start and warm up. if all is good then he said he will send it so it can be installed. I'll have to be at the ready for a flight to go put it in. Shall I go out on a limb and say within 2-3 weeks..... I better not with the way things have gone.

The builder ended up having to nitch the lifters. Alreasdy done and a video was sent showing the flow. Then next thing I knew he sent the following picture with just one word ...."closer".  I'm weary about getting excited but maybe, just maybe things will go right......and I might see it running in a short time.

I can't believe I am actually saying this but it is all together.  :woohoo: It has been a long and frustrating road. It shouldn't have been so hard but as some have followed every corner proved to be difficult. Anyway next step starting her up and then install. My stomach gets knots in it just thinknig about starting it up because the negative thought that something will go wrong is there. But if we get it running with no issues it will go in the car. I asked when they thought we might start it up but have not heard back yet. Keep your fingers crossed.
