Putting engine back in my Challenger

Getting close to putting the engine back in my 1970 Challenger. I currently have the shifter and linkage attached to the trans, but I think it needs to be removed before stuffing it in from the bottom right?

the 1-2 & 3-4 rods go above the trans crossmember so yes they have to be removed & installed once the trans is mounted in place .

Or mount the trans crossmember to the trans, put the reverse rod back on and set the car down on top. 4 crossmember bolts, 4 k frame bolts. Done...easy peasy

This is the same way I do it. Lower the car on lift onto the engine and trans
