Hi,

I am going to bypass the heater, in a smallblock Challenger. Can I just block off the inlets, on the water pump and intake manifold, or do they need to be linked to each other?

thanks,
Bill

I don't claim to have the definitive answer, but if it were mine, I'd loop them so that there's no flow issues internally in the pump; but that's just my  :alan2cents:

Answer is yes you can just block them off at the water pump and separate.
Heater shutoff valves do the same thing.
Bypass hose from manifold to WP is just that. A bypass.

I did same thing on mine years ago. Entire heater has been removed for wiring.

I blocked them both off for several years and didn't have an issue.
