I would buy a few of these also .
I did a project similar to this a few years back and possibly could help out with getting this done .
The hardest part for me would be collecting the money and shipping them . The apparel i did before was shirts i sold out of my race car trailer right at the race tracks so shipping wasn't an issue .
I also DO NOT have a PayPal account as they took me for 1300.00 bucks on a fraudulent transaction so getting pd would require a personal check or money order .
Any thoughts on this ?  I could give him a call Monday and get a time estimate and pricing if we are still interested .

Late to the game, but also interested. I think we should make a poll with the options and sizes to gauge SERIOUS interest, then we can get an idea on cost for a bulk order to save some money. I am usually at Carlisle so I'd be willing to bring a lot of them there

:iagree: except there certainly wouldn't be any bulk savings if each member wanting a shirt would have to order his own one/two at a time  :dunno:

why not someone front some cash....order 20-30 shirts all large, all the same colour, and sell them at our tent in Carlisle...or even a few different sizes...just keep it simple.. :dunno: if you're not going to Carlisle...have a buddy pick you up one  :grouphug:

I agree about discounts, and shipping will also likely be a big hit if 1-2 at a time from the maker.

I think we all need to understand not everyone & everything can be satisfied. I think delivering to Carlisle or other meet makes sense though I won't likely be there. It is what it is.

If we do a bulk order and want to provide shipping using something like PirateShip will save a lot. My wife uses it for her craft stuff and prices are frequently 50% less (for USPS or UPS).

I'm willing to help with something though I've no experience.  :dunno:

:alan2cents: Unfortunately, I guess I have just become accustom to paying shipping charges.  I think the increase in shipping charges over time is both ridiculous and way too high just like most people but (at least for me) if I can get shirts with a design that I like and more importantly, actually get them in a size that fits me (not just having to wear what is available, S, M, L, XL, XXL ect.) . . . I am always more than happy paying for shipping of said items.

I agree Claudia ......shipping costs are what they are.

Although it is nice to think that a sponsor should help off-set the cost of the shirts, perhaps we just need to pay the true cost of the shirts including
the handling to ship?

I am willing to pay $30 per t-shirt plus the shipping via Mail.   Does that help cover the cost of handling for someone to own the packaging and mailing of the shirts??   What is the true cost per shirt to have these made with a decent quality cotton (ie. Hanes)??

I will ask my screen printer that does my company t-shirts what he would charge to produce.   I think I pay about $20/t-shirt and they are quality shirts.

Thoughts???

Whoever has the designs, let's get them up on an ordering site and get quotes. I would be willing to organize a bulk order and either bring them to Carlisle for pickup or arrange to ship them to you for whatever that cost is

I liked a couple of the designs, I'm willing to buy one. I think there are places you can submit the design to and have people order their shirts from there. I think. The price per shirt may be a bit more but then no one is on the hook for ordering shirts and getting stuck with extra. However we get it working, I am interested in a shirt.

Maybe you noticed what @Poolshark314  said he could commit to.

There is a lot to think about to make this happen . .

Color
Sizes
Shipping

How many do you make?  If you do three colors, then you need different sizes in each color.  How many of each size do you make?  Do you make kids shirts?  Hats?

Then the shipping, the US is one thing but the customs forms for exporting would be extremely time consuming and a pain in the ass.   Packaging would be a pain as well.

Thinking about this though . .

I would be interested in a couple shirts as well.  As for how many / sizes etc., a friend of mine turned me on to this site a couple years back and I think the model they use is the way to go:
Just so happens Mopar is the shirt of the day!  The way they do it is a design comes out and is available to buy for a period of time, usually 24hrs. so if you want one you have to buy in the window - you select size and pay up front and I would guess once the sale window closes they place the order with a few extras for warranty purposes.  It usually takes 3-4 weeks to get the shirts, but I like the idea that it is pretty custom, and it is fun to check out the designs each day.

I think we should post some designs, set a voting period, and once voting closes open a sale like on blipshift; once it closes place the order with a preselected vendor.  I am sure we could figure out how to host a buying page where people could choose size and then checkout.  Once the Sale window closes we can place an order.  :alan2cents:

I think the issue could be solved. My almost 21 year old son (that's been to Carlisle) is a business major and has some great computer design skills has agreed to head this up as a fill in for his summer life guard job. He could possibly duplicate the shirts already in my possession as well as create several other designs, color options, direct shipping etc. I've reached out to @Cuda Cody for permission to use logos and previous designs in addition to others he put together on his computer last night. I was impressed. With feedback from this thread as well as hearing back from Cody, he could get started almost immediately. Let's hear it.

I have received a thumbs up. Stay tuned to this thread. I may also start a new thread like "order shirts from this link" when everything gets set up.

Good luck moving forward. Sounds like a good start.

If we do get someone to make shirts available again I'd suggest starting a new thread so everyone knows they are actually available again.

Claudia

:fingerscrossed: @7E-Bodies . . . do you know if we will be able to order specific sizes (like a 3XLT) from the shirt designs that will eventually be available?

7E-Bodies

That's the intent. My son was waiting on permission from Cody to use the logos. Now that I've obtained that as of today, he can start working on putting this all together. It's pretty complicated to me, but he's pretty savvy at organizing this stuff. I guess my tuition money is going for something  :woohoo:
More will come as he moves forward. I'll be sure to put up a thread if he succeeds and it all becomes ready.
