any of you Colorado guys know of a place I can take a car to.
Not looking for restoration.  engine tranny swap type stuff/ miscellaneous items.

I'm just too busy building homes to even have time to sit in my garage much less work on anything.

I know I'm in Salida but I can and will trailer anywhere.

@cuda hunter - Gerald (@CudaKat) has his own shop and can help you out.  He works on both classics and new cars, including all of my Mopars and '11 Ram.  His shop is call ProTech Auto and you can call him at 303-344-5901.

Following...Interested in the same information and would also like to meet any other CO owners.  I myself am in Colorado Springs.  Come from a family of MOPAR enthusiasts.  My father-in-law was previously the President of the Southern Colorado MOPAR's (still member) and owns multiple MOPARs in various conditions.  We recently bought my wife her childhood dream car (e-body Cuda).  Its a 72 340, but will need some various light work.  In C/S there is a place called Colorado Speed Company, but I have lost faith in their timeliness and attention to detail.  Have a car buddy in Denver who also personally recommended Gerald at Pro-Tech as well as Rob w/ D&D auto (303-776-5628).

Still weighing my options as well as trying to get a thorough eval of the car so I can prioritize what I need to get done.

I'll add a 3rd rec for @CudaKat . he has 4 full size lifts and just 4 doors down is a body shop that is working on one of his Cuda's now (I also happen to now work in a building behind him .. crazy coincidence). Gerald knows old school and new school. this is where @303 Mopar did his 392 Hemi upgrade in his 'Cuda too.

there are several of us up the Denver area. my own '70 is still a couple years from being road worthy though

I have heard there is a big Mopar presence in So CO and it would be great to get everyone together for a cruise-in.

I'd be willing to give out a cell number and email for anyone wanting to get a list together...

Sounds like fun.  I'd try to be in.  Of course weather depending as I am up in the mountains.

I called Gerald.  He says he can get me in mid to late next week.   Sounds like a great guy.  Can't wait to get one of my rides in there.

I'm taking my 67 to him to put the 400 back together and install.   I'm going to have him fix a list of things while it's in his shop.  Probably be a few months but I will gladly let everyone know my feelings on his shop.

I will be taking my 74 charger there when I pick up my 67 barracuda.  So lots of work for him if it pans out.  Sounds like it will as @303 Mopar had his car done there and it's awesome!

With all the car guys up there in Chaffee County, I'm surprised there isn't someone local to you who can basic swap and mechanical stuff like that. Hardcore restoration or custom stuff I could see coming to the Front Range for.

Yes, there is a sizable bunch of Mopars in So Co.  Southern Colo Mopars is one of the few southern Colorado car clubs that is retaining and gaining membership, even ahead of marques such as Mustang and Camaro. They tend to be pretty active, have monthly cruises, and collaborate with Rocky Mtn Performance Mopars out of Denver on a few events as well as hosting their own local show and working with other local clubs.

Looks like a nice place to live, someday I will get out there! :bradsthumb:

We do have a guy that can do a good bit of stuff.  But he doesn't have an inside shop that can keep my car in at night.  And i don't like leaving my superbird wing out in a strange place over night.
well, that depends on the "strange" .   That's what it really comes down to.
Also there are several shops that I use for my regular cars, but most don't want to do my old rides.
