The Aerodynamics were certainly part of the story... But the first All Steel Car was the real claim to fame.....  Check out the original advertising video that would have been shown in theaters since television barely existed...

Airflows were awesome. They should have catapulted Chrysler into first place but people are slow to adapt to new stuff sometimes. Then Ford brings out the Edsel, GM brings out the Vega and the gas block diesel to name a few.

1960 Dodge Dart Phoenix D 500    :worship:

I learned to drive and passed my drivers license in two tone 4dr Pioneer with 318 Poly, 3 sp Torqueflite with the push buttons, manual steering and manual brakes.    It was a great car with very good power, but horrible brakes !!   Those drums simply werent big enough and would overheat and fade, and turn the lining into hard non stopping garbage very easily.

I believe the airflow was the first unibody as well

There is one local , it was for sale but didn't really interest me other than I had never seen one up close.

I've been thinking about getting an SRT10 Pickup to match up with my Viper.

Ooooh; Is it a single cab? Single cabs are 6 speeds, quads are girlymatics.

Yes it's a 6 speed, I think they are  wanting 70-80k though. It's been there awhile  I can get you contact info if you want? I suspect this one is more of a collectable than a driver with that kind of mileage and still has the factory plastic wrap on stuff?

SRT 10 Pickup will already be a "notable" Mopar!  :ohyeah:

:takemymoney: the 6 speed are awesome trucks !!

RUNCHARGER

That's okay Brad, I will be driving it anyway. They seem to be in the $25k-$30k in the driver category. I only paid $64k for my Viper and it is in absolute showroom condition. There seem to be a few on the prairies that come up for sale reasonable.

I like the early C bodies
It took some metal working skills to make that lower quarter patch panel  :wrenching:
