We just started rearranging our garage, getting new cabinets, etc.  It's small - as you will see in pic.  And ceiling isn't even 10 feet ... so screws us over on combo of cars we can store with lift.   Have to have a couple at a storage facility.

I'm debating on finishing the walls ... and what to do with the floor.  But honestly, its so small .. not a real hang out and work in garage except for myself ...ok in summer when can use driveway.  So may save those funds for when we move.  A detached, at least 7 bay garage or pole barn is a must ....

 I've been looking at that recently.  Bend Pak had a formula on their website, off the top of my head I think they said minimum ceiling height needs to be the height of car one, plus the height of car two, plus 5".
I had building code limitations when I built my garage.  I went with a cathedral ceiling and garage door tracks mounted at an angle, so I have 12' or 13' in the middle but only less than 9' toward the front.  I think I'll be OK, as the front will where the hood of my car is, and the roof of the car will be toward the center.

Didn't even know you could stack cars on a lift with 10' ceilings.   

It's tight. I think it's actually 9' 10". Lol. I can get the vette and Challenger together either top or bottom. And I can squeeze the TA below the Challenger literally by 1 ".  The deuce and wife's 57 are SOL on that side. As is Barracuda.

Needed side mount door motors and the door lifted to ceiling.  Right side we just has side motors put in.

Looks like an Millner / American Grafitti coupe...love that movie and car!!!

Thanks!  It's a blast. "Tribute" to Milner's from the movie (sure you figured that out lol) Some slight differences but does have the 327 from a 68 vette.

Guy I got it from wife had a black 55 Chevy. They did some American Graffiti events. They met the actors and the car's dash has Mackenzie Phillips and Paul LeMat's signatures. Pretty cool if your into the movie.   Was one of those "gotta have" cars. I watched that movie a hundred times when I was a kid!

Ya. Formula sounds right depending on how that lift "locks".  I'm not sure of Bend Pack, but for backyard buddy you have to account for where the stops are. There's holes every so many inches in each post so you can set ramp heights with the stops locked iin.  That way the weight is on those heavy metal pieces/locks  on each post and not the wire.

So we needed to figure height of cars, ramp itself and how that aligned with stops. Lucked out as we were able to max out limited garage height. The Challenger in the pic is about 6 inches from ceiling. And you have to go a couple inches above stop then lower it.     First time I went real slooooow and marked out lines on lift I could see and know where I was high enough (and not crunch car roof on ceiling) to lower it to proper stop.

Lift of course is great for all kinds stuff. Especially neighbor guys - hey, I have this rattle.  Can I take a look. 

You're right about the front (door end). . As long as back cars on. Like said previously, we had to "lift" the door ceiling hangers.  But it still needs some space off the ceiling to "curve up".  When the door is up there's a few feet (plenty) of room from door at the ceiling down to hood.  The door is closed in pic, but it rolls a few few short of windshield when door is completely open.   Bringing door closer to ceiling of course shortens it run overhead when open.

I'm 6'2" as well.  The 5 windows are really roomy enough inside ...I dont even have seat all the way back.  What gets me is the sitting straight up ...  ... the seat is almost perfect "L" shape.    You just kinda slouch and hang your elbow out the window like the movie ... 

I've been on some longer drives and at about the 45 minute point I wanted out to stretch.  Running around local is fine.

It's not something I'd want for a 4 hour ride.  But local its quite fine and it scooooots ...
