I'm not at all for "merging the sites" or "bringing over certain threads"  from CC.com

We're building a fresh, new,  far superior site with new and relevant information with up to date methods for viewing and sharing info...Fender tag decoders, Broadcast sheet decoders, Free swag....you name it, we go it... :worship:

We don't need to drag the past a long. :deadhorse:

For the members here that enjoy the old information found on CC.com.....by all means enjoy both sites, no one is saying you can't.... :drinkingbud: Heck...if you want to choose one over the other...do that too....it's a free internet world out there.... :woohoo:

Let's move FORWARD together........ :handshake:

I'm with you Alan, the only concern being that if the site truly goes down forever there is a LOT of good solid historical information that could be lost (taken with a grain of salt of course, because you really can't see any older pictures and when the hosting site is removed/closed/whatever, those pics are gone ...... this is one thing that constantly pissed me off about the site .... look up info on XYZ ...Found it!!! oh, wait ... pics are all gone .... dammit!!!!  :bricks: ). but I also suppose that if it got to that point, Ross would probably be more amenable to selling it before just closing it all together.
Growing older is mandatory...growing up is optional.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

"good solid historical information" ? Really ?

I think if you can't find the answers to your questions here, with the very knowledgeable people we already have on board, then the answer doesn't exist. :alan2cents:

If anybody has a question :clueless: , just ask it....have a thought ? ...just share it.... :grouphug:

These "great" threads on the old tired site everybody keeps referring to, started somewhere !
I've taught you everything you know....but I haven't taught you everything I know....

Sure you can ask the same questions, but nothing beats a step-by-step guide from someone that went through the process.

Alan - I've gotten so much good information from your posts over the years, so thank you, and look forward to reading much more!

I'm one of those who finally had to make the switch here. While I really like what I'm seeing here, I felt somewhat invested over there and it's a shame to walk away from it all.

I had a thread going over there over on a car I was doing a lot of metal work to. I regularly took photos along the way, loaded them to photobucket and inserted all links to share with everyone the progress. It was my hope that other people down the road would find all of it very useful including the reference photos. Sadly, all of that may eventually wash away and mean nothing. If I could have predicted the site would spiral into the pavement, I would not have invested so many hours keeping the thread going for nearly a year.

Alan's right that all this information can be reshared but it's like rewriting books after someone made the decision to burn them all. Oh well, on the plus side, the photo uploading hurdles do not seem to be an issue here so I can always start a new thread here and pick up where I left off.

Guys...guys, guys................Nobody said CC.com is going anywhere.....Your favorite threads will remain on that site (maybe the pictures won't) but the information will...for many years to come.
The recent changes the owner Ross has made, or had made, shows he still has a vested interest in the site. :bigmoney: nobody is asking you to choose one or the other.

We just can't help it if this site is a 1000 times better. :haha:

@70 Challenger Lover  let me know if I can help with uploading any of your photos on here for ya.  Since we have control of the hosting it's much more likely not to get deleted or lost compared to other sites or forums.  I hate what PhotoBucket did to everyone.  We spend our sponsorship income on making the best site for the members so we should be able to keep your photos up for everyone to enjoy for a LOOOOONG time.  Plus it's super easy to upload photos here.   :bigthumb:  The forum "resizes" them for you so you do not have to worry about only uploading small photos.  Just another one of the advantages of being member owned forum where the profits go in to the site.

Thanks Cody. I'm really digging the site! I was so loyal to the other one out of nostalgia that I never checked you guys out. Now I see what I've been missing.

As soon as I'm ready to start the thread here, I'll see if I can sift through the other photos since I have them still and load the most pertinent ones to get people up to speed. I'll retain the other photos for reference in the event anyone has a need for how certain metal components overlap etc. I suppose lots go folks in here also have reference photos to help out those in need.

Many members complaining, many leaving coming here. This is the Best E Body forum. :grouphug: I really hope they crash and die.   :alan2cents:   :unitedstates: :rebelflag"

Ive given that site some time to see it I can adjust.  I just cannot.  Hard to read with some areas of light gray letter on a white background, the recent posts on front page is gone now, All CAP LETTERS, just hard on the eyes.  I keep clicking my Favorite button for CC and see nothing but pics.  Then you have to click Forum, then those hard to read colors and fonts.  I don't mind change, but it has to be for the better.
