I'd almost me scared of someone kidnapping my family winning that much. I suspect it would alleviate a pile of problems but create a whole  set of new ones? Nice to dream though....

Sadly it seems that when you look into it, it seems like when someone wins a huge lottery jackpot it ends up causing them more trouble than good, or even ruins their life.
That being said, last year at this time, I was buying some Powerball and Megamillions tickets.  I told myself if I won, I was going to Indianapolis in May for the Mecum auction to buy up much of Steve Julianos collection!
Well that plan didn't work, but I did end up with a glass, a promotional model and a couple parts I paid for "out of pocket".
I really don't know what I'd do with that kind of money.  I can think of some cars I'd like to buy, a house on a private airport, a couple planes, but that would only burn up millions, not tens of millions.
The only lottery products that make much sense to me now are some of the scratch offs, winning $5000 a week for life seems like something I could use and not get myself into trouble with!

Ya, I couldn`t even imagine winning that much, how would you even spend it? There would also be the worry of scum trying to steal it or harm you for it. I`d be happy with just a few mil - retire, 20-30 Mopars in the big garage and nice but not too big or extravagant house and maybe a camp on a lake somewhere and I`d be happy!

He bought the ticket for a family group of 8, so they ''only'' have 9 millions each... Kid worked at a grocery store for $13.00/hour, he said his old car was about to die on him, so he was thinking of buying a new one!
Selling outlet of the winning ticket gets 1% of amount... 700K, but it was not the same grocery store he worked at... I'm guessing he'll get fired over that! ;-)

Be like Tim Schell!!

What was it ... four or five years ago that Tim Schell, a Canadian electrician (or carpenter??) hit the Canadian lottery??

Tim decided  to build himself a musclecar collection with his winnings!!  :ohyeah:

One of his new acquisitions, a '71 HemiCuda  :worship:, which he brought to MCACN a couple of years ago!!

Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

I see you ended up with a promotional model.  That sounds almost like winning the lottery to me!  Lord knows that in the sugar and spice thread, there are some "promotional models" that would make someone happy for the rest of their life.

Although, I often think about that song by Jimmy Soul, "If you wanna be happy"  and if there is any truth to it when I see a absolutely beautiful woman. Lol. Although I am happily married for 24 years to my high school sweetheart and I think she is beautiful.   :bigthumb:

There is another multi-million dollar lottery winner from Ontario who's into COPO 1969 Camaros, he's also shown a few at MCACN and has built quite the collection....

I bought a 1/25 scale 1969 GTX promotional model from Steves collection auction last May, not a super model!  :stop: It's in my display cabinet along with my 70 through 73 Challenger promo models, much lower maintenance than a super model.  :bigthumb:

I might be wrong but I think there's some rule about not being able to win if the ticket is bought from your place of employment.

Lottery winnings would sure buy me a nicer boat...and a coach to pull it with.

Kind of warped I suppose but I've thought it would be neat to go to an auction and buy your dream car (Hemi Cuda Convt, or whatever) and then daily drive the SOB. Leave it outside, drive it in the rain, take it fishing etc. I would stop at driving it in the winter of course and I suppose you could send it out to have it freshened every winter.
