I was about to buy this original rear valance for my 70 Cuda. Then I looked at pics and thought, this is not correct for a 70. I thought the 70 did not have the 2 perpendicular pieces. Am I right?

anlauto

Correct. The 70 AAR I'm working on had the original valance and no perpendicular pieces. :alan2cents:

I thought you might be the one answering 👍. It is an NOS part. But then when I got the pic of back ... and the part number Is 3615011 on the back ... and I think that part number is for 72... well I then was thinking this is not right for the AAR.

A 70 rear valance is different than the other years. The way to tell is that when installed the 70 valance lower portion is shaped differently. From the outside in about six inches there is a partial curve  that exposes the rear leaf springs on each side. On the later valances the curve on each side is trimmed off and the center of the valance only is extended with the two screw holes that attach it to the brackets.

Here's my  :alan2cents: . My original to the car are on the top in the pictures. It was swapped out because the '71 - '74 had less mud in it.

Thank you very much. I almost bought the wrong one.  I recently found this one - picture attached. It looks to be the correct 1970 Cuda valance I need for my AAR.
