The sad part is, that somewhere, there's a whole committee of guys who've put their John Henry on this "design?" and they're running the show.  :looney:

I'd take the Edsel horse collar before that 2020 Chevy.

So this time when Fiat and GM go down I wonder if China and Mexico will bail out their executives and pay their large bonuses.

I think they took their cues from the Ford Super Duty trucks that have to advertise on all four sides that it is a Super Duty.  If I was every inclined to buy a Ford Truck that one fact would stop me from doing so and now it looks like Chevy is following their lead with that butt ugly grille.   :barf:  I just paid off my 2011 3500 Silverado with a Duramax and as much as I like the way it performs and pulls my 5th wheel trailer it will probably be the last Chevy I ever buy.  But then again, if Dodge doesn't do something to improve the joke they call "limited slip" rear end, I'll never buy one of their trucks again either.  Guess I'll just drive the wheels off my 2011.

IRON MAN

The 2020 mid-engine Corvette Manta Ray twin turbo charged has been getting a lot of exposure on the internet this weekend. I'm truly excited about it . Production begins September 2019. If GM can keep the price under $125K it may become the 8th Corvette I've owned. Word is it will range in price from $120K to $170K. I worked for GM 23 years as a  wholesale fleet manager and should be able to get invoice pricing with the managers I know. It will be like when the 1988 Silverado was introduced....take a number if you can wait.

Put a state of Texas badge on it somewhere and Texans will love it regardless! [I am not a "Texan", I just live here  :)]

I am not a huge fan of the `19 Ram front end but that Chevy is just HORRID! I think usraptor is correct in that they were trying to compete with the "big tough" Ford look but they failed miserably, and I`m not a fan of most of the Ford Super Duty front ends either.

Match that front end with the side profile and they have a winner.  :bricks:  :barf:

I'm a Designer by trade and that front end is a total mess.  None of the lines meet up, it's over designed, unrefined garbage.  And it's no wonder the American car industry is in such trouble with products like that.

I was chatting to the Design Director at Aston Martin, a neighbour in my village and he thinks car design is at an all time low at the moment.  He said some manufacturers are trying to make their cars stand out, irrespective of whether they look nice and they've run out of ideas.

ToxicWolf

That is the ugliest truck frontend I've ever seen.   :barf:

UGLY !!  UGLY UGLY !!

And I'm a chevy truck guy.  They are better in the snow than dodge or ford.

Side profile looks good. Front face...man, what happened? Their current trucks look pretty good as-is.

Side note and request for advice--

I got a good bonus this year (finally). I'd like to retire my 2003 Jeep Liberty after 11 years of ownership. It's going for sale this spring. I've driven it ever since grad school and love the vehicle. But it's time for something newer.

I've already decided that a 2014+ Dodge Ram 1500 4x4, standard cab (I don't have a family and don't need more doors/backseats) will probably be a nice fit after spending 16+ years of driving "compact" SUVs/Trucks as someone who is 6'4". I only drive 4,000-6,000 miles a year, tops. Snows here 2 months out of the year, and I enjoy going mountain biking and snowboarding. I'd like to have a full-size vehicle for once. Maybe take it on a road trip for the first year. I miss my old Ford Ranger...there's something really fun about a truck, and I'm craving it. I hate going to lowes, and then having to slide 15 2x4s over my leather seats in my Liberty. I need the utility back .

Talk me out of a 2014+ Ram 1500 5.7L. Seems like I could land a 2014, standard cab, 50,000 miles, and "decent" creature features for $20,000 even.
