Argh! Oil leak

Today, after cruising around, pulled into driveway, lifted hood, and it didn't smell like my engine anymore. No oil smells!

I, just myself here, would NEVER EVER use "mechanic in a can" for anything! Fix it right. Just my humble opinion. Do you put sawdust in your rear end to stop a whine? or
that expanding geletin stuff in your radiator to stop a leak? Or that seal expander crap in your transmission? Do what you want - it's your car.

Put a band-aid on it, and it will likely come back to bite you in your hiney.

I started a test this morning of placing an o-ring into the AT-205 after measuring the o-ring thickness, I am assuming that it will swell.

Just did some checking with the caliper.
Started at .1205" thickness at 2-3/16" diameter.
Just checked and now thickness is .1285" and 2-1/4" diameter.
Checked thickness by holding the o-ring vertical in the caliper then checking the reading when it falls out.
The o-rng will not go back into the original space in the box.
Very much more flexible also. I'd guess about 5x more flexible. Removed at 9:30 pm tonight.
The upper o-ring is the original, bottom is the one soaking in the AT-205.

Rear main seal leakage is down 75%. After all,
the seal is just a rope material!! And thus, engine
oil comsumption down about 75%. I'm adding a lot
less oil than I have over last 20 yrs.

My oil consumption may also be down because
this stop leak product is causing the intake manifold
gasket to seal better, thus preventing oil from going
from the lifter valley to the intake valves.

A week less than a one year update on my power steering former leak after using AT-205 RE-SEAL.
No leakage at all after a year !
