Pilot bearing vs Pilot Bushing

Looking for pinions on using a pilot bearing vs a pilot bushing.  The bushing seems like the better option as it has no moving parts to fail.  Any thougts one way or the other?

I will be going with bearing on mine. Yes they have moving parts but so does all the bearings we drive on for many thousands of miles.
That said, I currently have had same bushing now for 25 years.
Guess that answer doesn't help anything. Lol

The brg is a good option if the crank is not drilled properly otherwise the bushing is cheaper & indestrutable

The bushing in my car went in somewhere around the year 2000...simple, cheap, effective.

I put the bearing style in mine when I swapped to a four speed around `97-`98 and no issues with it.

I'm under the impression if you use the bearing you need to cut down the input shaft?

I really don't want to cut up my Hemi 4 speed.

It all depends on how deep your crank is drilled for a four speed., if it was a crank for an automatic it probably was not finished drilled but you could also just drill it out deeper.
