What about the springs? I have seen different coils...is that based on hood style, or year?

While we are hinge topic, how does one know/test if they need rebuilding or not ? 

Are there alignment issues or seating issues when closed.   I'm at the point were I will be installing originals for sheetmetal alignment.  thx

Off the car is pretty hard to tell, on the car it's too late...
So for some insurance, I send ALL my hood hinges to RestoRick for rebuilding first...
