Wow, it's great to hear that Snoopy is still around!
Been a LONG the since I've heard anything from him.
It would be wonderful if he'd join us here!

If I remember right, he had a way to make the braided paper loom for wiring harnesses.

What vacuum fitting would a manual brake car with air conditioning have?

Cuda Cody

Good question.  All the sheets I have with AC all have power brakes.  Have you seen a sheet with AC and manual brakes?

I still haven't looked through my sheets for vacuum fitting codes, but I know I've seen cars with manual brakes and AC.
I remember converting one to power brakes.  That car didn't have a sheet, but I'm sure I saved the fitting if changing it was required, or it might still be on the original engine, which is sitting out back behind the shed at this point.

Not sure if this helps or just muddies the water. Only sheet that I had with AC and mech brakes.

:clapping:   YES, that helps a BUNCH!!!  Found what we need to finish that section of the build sheet decoder.   :thankyou:    They had a specific size tube that they used for the AC cars with manual brakes!!!!!

This should be the final list of options for that VAC FIT build sheet code box:

04   #3461304 Power Brake Hose Check Valve 2 WAY without AC
25   #2655625 Intake Manifold Vacuum Control connector w/ .252" OD Tube
27   #1859127 Plug for Intake Manifold Vaccum Control Hole
54   #1944154 Power Brake Hose Check Valve 1 WAY without AC
55   #1858955 Intake Manifold Vacuum Control connector w/ .127" OD Tube
63   #3614063 Intake Manifold Vacuum Control connector .125" OD Tube w/ .1875 Side Tube
86   #2863486 Intake Manifold Vacuum Control connector w/ .125" OD Tube
92   #1944092 Power Brake Hose Check Valve 2 WAY w/AC without ATC

Does anyone see any other numbers on their 1970 sheets in the VAC FIT box?

I'm not seeing these on broadcast sheets but Chrysler has other vacuum fittings that could have gone on E bodies? Not sure.  :notsure:

#2405466 Power brakes w/o AC (1) 1/4" + (1) 3/8"
#1948838 Power brakes w/ AC (1) 1/8" + (1) 1/4" + (1) 3/8"
#2863398 (2) 1/4"
#2863399 (1) 1/8" + (2) 1/4"
#2944031 (2) 1/4" + (1) 3/8"

@headejm  can you tell me where those fittings are found on the parts catalog?  I was not able to find them in group 5 or 9 (brake & engine).  Want to see if I can cross check them to see if they fit on an E-Body!  Thanks for the help!!!!

Cody, didn't get these out of the E-body parts catalog. I have some reference material at home that had these vac fittings listed under B-body engine and was wondering if they carried over to E-body? The 2405466, 1948838, and 2944031 are still available through RT Specialties and National MO-PARTS websites. I don't have access to an E-body parts catalog. Is it available online somewhere?

Cuda Cody

Okay, cool.  I'll keep looking to see what I can find.

We do have the parts manuals up on our site if anyone needs them.
