:iagree: 100%% skip the auction, you have your solid winners right there. having to swap parts across will hopefully sweeten the deal. unless he cut out and moved over the cowel and rad #s, it should be a fairly simple swap back though and you could do a solid on the v-code body while still having fun with the GC .... or sell the GC to fund the v-code. that is a rare and awesome beast to own.

'70 Barracuda B5/B5 225 /6 3spd ... about as bare bones as they came

I was using the little book to decode.  7th edition

I don't have any idea on pricing.  That's why I'm posting this.  I really don't want to insult the guy with an offer that is just too low.

I don't know about the bumpers.

Numbers are all still matching on the bodies.

Well, I'm really after the rarities from the auction.  Probably don't even have any of them there.

M46 scoops
rolled fenders
rear louvers for cuda

Would love to find my original engine for my M46.      #119545 383 L code
  Can't find it if I don't look.

I assume the GC is a '71 and he swapped fenders and front ends too if I'm reading and seeing this right?

correct.  As I understand it, he only swapped the bodies.  everything else is on each car.

i'll play  the guesstimate game. '70 v-code full project, $15-20k, '71 GC in wrong color but could be put back together (probably minus the GC stuff since that might be harder to put together all the pieces) into a nice driveable Barracuda ..... $30-35k

It appears as though all the gran coupe parts are there.  In the interior at least.

The 70 Cuda drives great.  He had it out earlier this year.

correct.  As I understand it, he only swapped the bodies.  everything else is on each car.

He swapped sheet metal & drivetrains... The V code should have Power Disc Brakes.... It has manual brakes.... It'll take some work to sort out exactly whats been done but it's very doable & really should be done... As Cody said if either car was gone both cars would be basically gone... But in this case it's fixable...

Also a no-brainer to me to skip the auction and bring these home.

If this doesn't work out for you and Cody bumps his head hard and passes on these, we would buy both and get them back to where they should be.

I agree with the others, skip the auction and sell the GC if you don't have any interest in it and it makes funding the V code easier. I would love a V code with an N96 option, very cool and I hope it works out that you can get the cars!

cuda hunter

Well, I'm trying to establish value.

Would very much appreciate some of you who own V codes and have owned many V codes would just try to give me some ideas on the value of this set of cars.

And I totally understand that more pictures would make a world of difference in establishing a value.  This is all I have until I get to see them again.

How about some numbers?  Anybody know how many of these were made?

Any other info on V codes that I should know?

I'm not the guy to ask about value, last E body I bought was in the 90's..... I look at current prices & laugh...

It is a V code, it's supposedly numbers matching.... I'd want to crawl under & verify that before setting value but it wouldn't kill my interest if the engine/trans didn't match.... I would need the body numbers to be what they need to be... I would like to look for build sheets...  Is the 4:10 Dana still there?

If the bodies were swapped where did the A/C dash pad come from?  Cause if it came from the 71 GC then why is the firewall non-A/C..

RUNCHARGER

I'm confused but I like the Red Cuda. I assume he moved the dashes and data plates? If any numbers have been cut out and welded I would run away.
