I want to change the exhaust tips on the Charger and put on the correct ones. The current ones are welded on.  :pullinghair: I think I can use a die grinder to get them off but I'm afraid I won't leave the pipe smooth enough to get the clamp to seal. It's a butt connection and I have the good clamps but is there some kind of sealant I can use to ensure there will be no leaks.

The exhaust tip clamp is more so there to keep the tip from falling off or rotating.

There's no resistance to flow at the end of the tip, exhaust won't leak between the tip and tailpipe.
