Unfortunately, I'm suffering through the brown raised letter syndrome on my Radial TAs. Tried several popular cleaning methods with not much luck.

Has anyone had any success with painting their raised letters? Looked at a few paint pens online but not sold on them. It would be helpful to hear if others have succeeded in painting their tire letters.  :help:

Tried Bleeche White yet ?  Light sanding of the rubber can get surface staining cleaned.

Yep, Wesleys Bleach White works best.   I also have used good old scouring pads...

Acetone works well for me.

Black magic bleach white works really good.My rear tires had a case of bad yellowing from day one.I tried sos pads, sand paper, lacquer thinner, comet with a scrub brush.None of those things did anything to remove the stains.Black magic got them to about 80 to 90 percent better.

Another vote for light sanding using a flat sanding pad. It works well.

I used 400 grit wet sand paper moistened with Meguiar's Hot Rims wheel & tire cleaner in the pink bottle. It took a little elbow grease, but the results were worth it. One letter at a time.

Thanks for this. I had assumed that the rubber itself was dirty all the way through.
