I had a loose steering column in the challenger I picked up, and it was not from that car. Thinking it must be for it, I watched Cody's video on disassembly, (great video series BTW), and took down just like he did. It had broken parts and someone tried to pry the crush can a little, but I was able to get it apart the right way with gear pullers and so I have the actual shaft. the plastic pins that hold the pieces are intact but when i measured it from the top of the shaft to the bottom without the coupler or the crush can I measured: 37.5 inches.
I also was able to free a lockout tube from another very rusty and busted column, and cleaned that up.
Questions: 37.5" is that for 70 Challenger and PS or no?
Can I use the lockout tube, or does it need to be a certain length and how long so I can check.
I am also missing the cup below the crush can, it was busted along with the signal mechanism.

thanks
