Sort of, it got hit hard early in it's life and parked. It only has 66,000 miles on it, 440/4 speed real R/T

I hope he got it cheap, because it's a miracle that they didn't just bail it back in the day! Nice load though and I think 68 Chargers are absolutely fabulous cars. I'd love to have one, but the Challenger is enough to keep me out of trouble for a wee while yet!  :cheers:

Drove down to Buffalo NY this morning to get some parts for Mike's 68 Charger, Then back to machine shop to pick up the cylinder head for the 440. We had it running a stuck a valve. Motor has not ran in 40 years. Mike was so upset. I had the head off and at my buddy s machine shop an hour later. I was amazed how quick/easy it came apart. Even the bolts on the exhaust manifolds came out easy? It's all original numbers matching and never been apart.  It did ever so slightly hit the piston but didn't bent the valve but did bend the push rod. My engine builder buddy had an extra push rod so it was a luck/cheap fix. He dropped everything to help us !  We then put it back together this afternoon. Car is almost ready for paint. It's all in primer. Next is mechanical, exhaust, brake lines etc... Yesterday we installed most everything new on the front end and prepped and painted the engine bay .  Car was originally Bronze poly but Mike wants it triple black with a red stripe( I might of has something to do with convincing him? LOL )  I so enjoy working on it even though it's not my car.  Keeps me busy during the slow times. Mike was diagnosed with cancer just after Christmas. It doesn't look good as it's aggressive and spreading. First chemo treatment does seem to be shrinking the tumor that appeared on his neck. This is what Mike wants to do most is finish this car , so I'm more than happy /honored to help !  If your the praying type , please say a prayer for Mike.... he sure can use them!

Got it running today, pretty much finished with the engine bay. Mike was VERY happy to hear it running nice again.  Hoping tomorrow to start on getting the underside of the hood and fenders painted.  I did talk him into changing those plug wires..... they look a little "tunerish"  :-X

He wants to stay all stock. Lots of date code type stuff on this car. If it was mine it would have disc's for sure......

Better get new shoes the stock ones will be over heated , baked black & cracked , maybe the factory installed them this way  :notsure:

Will do, we haven't even had the drums off yet? Original factory parts we believe ?

Foam insulation going in right now. 
Drywall is next then I start the trim out!

You guys won't like this, but i'm building a 1987 Chrysler Conquest. It is now powered by a 2jz with th400. I'm expecting about 500 at the wheels. Some mods include a Haltech ecu and harness, 1000cc injectors, Precision 6262 turbo and a walbro fuel pump. I've gone thru the whole car upgrading everything from suspension to brakes. I fell in love with these cars around 1990 when Ted Wagner did a 340 conversion in a 1988 Blue widebody. It was the inspiration for this one i completed about three years ago it's a small block & 904, just a fun cruiser. I started this Conquest build while waiting on my buddy ( doing body & paint ) to start on my Cuda. He had some health issues around this time last year and it's been put on hold. Go ahead, flame away on the rice burner  :Stirring:

You've posted a few photos before, always nice looking homes, lots of beams & glass.... And the local scenery isn't bad either...
