Just painted the underside of my hood yesterday morning and 12 hours later, it seemed fully cured. I know it's not but I do need to flip it over and get to work on the topside. How many days would be safe to say fully cured? I don't want to create dents or marks in the new paint from resting it on a stand.

It's single stage acrylic urethane.

24 hours should do it. I would put it out in the sun for a bit, then bring it back in, let it cool down to ambient temperature. then proceed. Natures baking booth!  :alan2cents:                                                                          Mark.

I would wait as long as possible if it hasn't been run through a bake cycle in a booth. Minimum a week unless your in a big hurry.  :alan2cents:

I'm hoping to get back on it Sat or Sun. That will give it 3-4 days. I've heard two weeks but I really don't want to wait that long unless I have to. If I wasn't working the next couple days, I'd be tempted to try sooner.

It takes months to fully cure, but after a couple days it's normally okay.  24 is the minimum I would do.  If you can wait a week or two it's better.
