I have reservations, but I'm hanging on by a thread. Don't wanna drive 14 hours and spend all the money for a half show. Staying tuned.

Thanks for that link formula_s. Just cancelled my second room at La Quinta, @jimynick if you're going to hold out till the last minute you need to book your own room. The girl at La Quinta said they have a bunch available for that weekend.

With the sudden rise in covid cases today due to these ridiculous riots things might change.  This can't help .

As of today . . Ed has indicated this is still on schedule for July.  Sorry to hear some are canceling reservations . . I hope to go and will in the show is on . . Am concerned that attendance will be down.   Yes a lot of work to go  . . But look forward to this every year.  Sucks Chryco won’t be there . .
Drive it like you stole it . . . And they're CHASING you!

@cuda hunter ... did I hear you say you were driving all the way from Colorado??
Cheers!

Tis' better to have owned classic Mopars and lost than to have never owned at all (apologies to Alfred Lord Tennyson)

Yep, I'm driving all the way out.
I hate airplanes, hate rental cars, hate the lack of freedom.
cost is about the same.
I can't tow a car home on a plane if I buy one.
Can't carry parts home on a plane either.
And a one day drive isn't so bad.
Last year I drove and picked up a cuda and ended up selling it in the vending area. Lot G54 as I recall.
Maybe you saw it.

@cuda hunter   ONE day drive ... from Colorado??!! :Thud:

I don't even like the idea of doing it one day from St Louis ... and it's about half the distance!!
Cheers!

awh , it's not so bad.  I drive to Miami once a year and do it with a 4 or 5 hour sleep in the truck.  Better to get there and be done with the drive.  I'm hooked, what can I say.  Maybe I can get on a few of those parts deals I heard about before the main day this year since half the people won't be there.

This is only my 2nd year so I'm just exited due to that.  After 20 years or so I probably would care less, and fly in and not be early or late and just mose around.  I barely saw all the parts last year.  Walked the car field once and went back to the parts yard.  Loved it!

@cuda hunter I'd be driving from Peoria Illinois not terribly far from you. I drove it in 2017 and split the trip by staying in Columbus Ohio as I hate long drives almost as much as planes. I've had reservations in Mechanicsburg PA for quite some time now, but my finger is hovering on the dump button as I don't want to burn the time and money if this thing isn't full on. I sure wanted to meet a bunch of you that have helped me so much. You probably won't head north through Illinois, will you?

Kinda depends on who travels with me.  I might be heading through Illinois but not sure yet.
It adds one hour onto my trip to take the northern route, but then I don't have to go through st.louis, minneapolis and columbus.  The least of the big cities I have to travel the better.

I think you mean Indianapolis...not Minneapolis.  St Louis sucks but Indianapolis and Columbus are a piece of cake.  Maybe if I drove through St Louis more often it wouldn't be a big deal.  I've been driving through Indianapolis and Columbus for years.  Those don't phase me any more.

St Louis sucks ...

I live here and yes, St Louis sucks ... in more ways than just the traffic.
Cheers!
