I want this look, (if it can be done outside Photoshop) on my -73 restomod.
Either this, or the 2015 grille.

QuoteI'm going to be tweaking the panels on my 73 Cuda and I'm going to look into flush mounting the side markers.

QuoteI am currently working on fabbing up some flush mount markers for my 74 Challenger. If they work out the way my brain is telling me. I will post up the how to.

Actually I think I've seen it done twice.  One car had them frenched into the panel.  Only the center of the light was visible.  The other car had a hole the same size as the side marker removed from the panel.  A "box" was built on the back side and the light was just mounted inside the box.  You could still see the entire light but it was flush on the outside.  It looked decent but I thought water might get trapped in the recess.  You could always add a drain hole or two though.

   Someone back in CC.com grafted in 71 Roadrunner side marker lights. I thought that looked really cool/well done!

Does not look right. Too far "upwards"s. As much as I hate the frowny face, at least it looks "right" for what it is. That picture looks like someone shrunk and shoved the '70 grille upward.

The 72-74 grill on the Challenger is reminiscent of the 59-60 Chrysler 300 and Desota Adventurer grill. The neighbors couple streets over call it the "whale mouth" and they have three Challengers.

I am sure anything can be done with enough effort , you could swap fenders to 70/71 to get the headlight mounts or just weld in the supports & build supports to use a new grille , you probably still need 70 headlight trim to complete the look  :bigthumb:

Hmm: I just realized that Chrysler (Fiat, Mercedez?) copied that beautiful 300 grille for their later pick-m-up trucks. Like carbon copy.

Your'e right, it probably need the whole front with the same headlights as the SRT, the Shakedown looks good with the 2015 front.

Its actually a very common design element used in numerous vehicles.  Shelby Mustangs old and new, Ford Fiesta, Toyota trucks, some Lexus model, etc.

The guy that painted my car just finished this one.  His customer bought it as a roller that already had the V10 conversion done.

@Burdar  is that a house of colors finish? I think that is the same or close to a mustang I did a while back. that is NOT easy to apply!!!!!   :pullinghair:

Interesting touch on the tail lights.
