Hood Pins

was the hood pins round chrome  piece on the top of the hood was it screwed on or riveted from the factory?

Screwed on for a steel hood...riveted on for a TA hood

thanks mini are rivet so there right I wanna paint the hood should I take them off or tape around then and keep the rivets
