Not too much Mopar stuff and the sound effects are a bit annoying, but, an interesting watch when you have 30 minutes to kill.

This Sunoco wide-body Javelin only has four (4) lugs per wheel. Mustang suspension? Why would the builder go from the original five-lug per wheel pattern to a four=lug per wheel pattern?  :dunno:

Quicker pit stops..... rule book didn't say how many lugs were required. Smart cookie!

True. Why go bigger and heavier on parts unless needs dictate it.

My uncle has some vintage Pikes Peak Hillclimb parts that paperweights compared to what you would think they should be. The reality is that weight costs power and these cars all have a finite time of operation, so as long as the duty cycle is within that time frame, anything bigger is overkill. In the case of hillclimb parts, they only had to last ten minutes, so why use 1 ton truck parts when econobox parts will be adequate.

I love this thread. I've been toying around with having mine lettered up to look like an old race car. I photoshopped this up.

Cool idea,  maybe with a patina effect?

Yea I'm really thinking of going that way. My paint job sucks - first home garage job that I made mistakes. Thinking of sanding it down where there is dust and leaving it as is, then having it lettered up. I drive the wheels of this thing so I don't want something I'm afraid to drive

We have a shiny black car, it's awful trying to keep it clean. I live out in the middle of dirt, lots of farming row crops. I'm think of going towards ratty muscle car look.
