I see now that the voltage regulators now are no longer stenciled and have a cheap sticker with the part number and date code. Is there any other options for these? Is anyone rebuilding old vintage ones? Thanks!

So the ones like this have stickers now?

When did repo vintage voltage regulators get so expensive anyway?
Over the years I've seen ones for sale correctly stamped with various date codes. I wonder if anyone still does that?
You might want to check with Bill Rolik he was one to vend that type of item.
Which reminds me, the sealant in the back of those VRs is prone to getting soft and oozing down the firewall.  I've heard there's videos on resealing the back with more robust material to cure that.  That's on my long to do list, along with cleaning the snot off my convertible and Magnums firewalls!

Even if you remove the sticker and restamp the housing,it would still be missing the raised bump detail found on an original.

Enlarge the picture and you can see the sticker's edges.

Here's a picture of the one from Classic Industries website.

How about peeling off the label and using an ink stamp.

@Jay Bee  - wow that's a great idea! I did not know that was an option here! I just may try this. Thank you!

If you remember can you show us before and after pictures. I'd be curious what the stamped impression actually looks like.

Sure thing! I'm just trying to see if the stamp print should be yellow or white for 71'? Pretty sure it's yellow.

@Jay Bee  sorry for the delay.

Did this tonight. I'm happy with the result.
I made up two. One for the car and one spare.
Sticker cleaned up nice and took a few tries with the stamp. Had some 3M adhesive to clean up the mistakes.

Wow, that came out way better than I expected, thanks for posting the pics. Hope it lasts the test of time and if it needs to be redone at least you have the stamp.

So, turns out it was white for '71.

Mine is an early build 71 - October 1970 - from what I have seen, (white).
At some point there was a changeover on the color to yellow, my uneducated guess is starting January 1971.
