What did you do with your ebody/Mopar today?

Bought , hopefully they are , non marring scrapers to continue the billboard removal, passenger door is completed.
Trying not to use chemicals, I have the 3M remover if I get tired of this way .
Also moved bikes away from the car for access to billboard removal in the garage.

Have you tried the plastic razor blades?  They worked very well for me getting one of those 3M invisible bras off the front of my M5 with no damage to the paint.  It was really old and I ended up having to use Goof Off to soften some areas but there was no damage to the paint and it acted as a lube as well as breaking down the adhesion.

Those eraser wheels work real good, too! A bit scary at first, but you learn quickly that a little bit of pressure is required, and it really doesn't hurt the paint!

Does that wheel leave a lot of small pieces to clean up ?
I'm hoping the scrapers will do like the plastic razor blades but also be able to be used for other jobs where metal tools may damage.

2000 E39 M5.  400 HP 5.0L 11:1 compression all aluminum DOHC V8, four door, six speed manual, Autobahn cruiser.  Supposedly has a 180+ mph top speed, but I only got near the end of 4th gear at a little over 140mph.  Not much to look at compared to an E-body, but a complete blast to drive.  Will spin the tires from a roll at any speed in second gear.  I have a steeper 3.45 rear gear (3.15 stock) and run a square set of 275 tires to help with turn in.  Will pull some pretty good G numbers in the corners.  I made a custom muffler delete exhaust and the engine note is sublime.  Electrical maintenance is a nightmare, I have a bad ABS module and bad airbag controller.  I'm looking at $3000 in parts plust $500 labor for a dealer to replace, and you need a computer science degree if you want to do it yourself.   A set of headers which would add 40hp are  in the $3000 and up range. Car is going up for sale ASAP, I've hand my fun with it.  Goal is to get the Cuda past that power level (easy) and approach the handling/ride capability (difficult).

I guess it depends on age and type of decal, but they are ver.y inexpensive, so it could be worth a try!

Tried the scrapers tonight , meh.
Tried the 3M woodgrain remover , I believed what everyone said that it would be easier, but WOW did that 3M do a great and easy job , the glue was even removed.
Billboard is being removed in sheets not pieces !!

Still have small areas of glue that will use the 3M adhesive remover on.
Airing out the garage.
That 3M is some good stuff !!
Thank you to all for that tip on the 3M woodgrain remover.

It does have a powerful smell for sure .

Gentle heat should help. A hair dryer may suffice,  but a real heat gun will soften the material.  Just pay attention to potential to overheat with a heat gun.  That 3M bra I took off the M5 was terrible, looked like alligator hide and came off in little chunks. Heat definitely helped.

Took the timing chain and gears out. Pulled the cam shaft out.

Has anyone here tried to use steam to remove the exterior vinyl?   I used a clothing steamer to remove the window tint film on my son's car.   The steamer did a nice job of softening the glue without excessive heat so the film could be pulled/scraped off.  There are a couple of posts on YouTube involving steam being used to remove vinyl lettering from car exteriors.

AMC day for me, I bolted on the heads on my  401 and painted the entire engine. Measured for pushrods and got them ordered.  Then glass beaded the various parts of the spindle assembly.
