I removed the black longitudinal stripes from my car in preparation of putting a white bumble bee stripe on my car and loving it!

Are you painting the bumblebee stripe? I never understood why this was the one "accent" that was painted and not a decal.

Probably because the 1/4 panels contours on a Challenger are pretty complex, and a decal wouldn't work. I painted a black bumblebee stripe on my red 73, and I love it!

Also removed the longitudinal on mine to replace with the correct bumblebee, had it done in wrapping material until I can get the car to the paint shop...

Hey Ben,

Will you do the modern day TX9 Black paint code for the BumbleBee or tint it closer to the color of the Vinyl Top?

I'm thinking the BumbleBee does not get hit with a clear coat, correct?

Hey Ben,

Did you do the modern day TX9 Black paint code for the BumbleBee or did you tint it closer to the color of the Vinyl Top as they look close in the picture even though I believe TX9 is a high gloss paint?

I'm thinking the BumbleBee did not get hit with a clear coat, correct?

I decided to go with a matte finish, to match the V21 hood decal... and also hide the quickie repair I did to fill the T/A spoiler holes after I removed it! It would have shown more in gloss... Once I have the time/budget, I'll have the tail panel repainted in orange, spoiler holes repaired, stripe in correct gloss black, antenna removed and hole repaired and quarter repainted to match...

Scooter

New front QA1 single adjustable shocks (put same shocks on rear last weekend) and rubber viewport covers and clips.

Old -n- busted.

New Hawtness

The ride difference between QA1's on all for corners and the old Monroe's is near impossible to describe. Night and day difference is closest I can come. I have not even started messing with the adjustment yet.

:D

The FC7 Challenger that I used to own had the white bumblebee too. I'm torn though on which looks better....I think the blue vert would look awesome with white or even blue longitudinal stripes, especially with the white top.

I think white looks better with most Hi Impact colors, like FM3 and FC7, and also Blue, especially with the white top, although some people will argue that a three-color exterior is special...

Took the car out mid morning thinking to beat the crowds to the hills. No luck and hit  bad traffic jam up. My area is currently experiencing hotter than usual weather. The stop and go got my engine temp close to 210 degrees. So U turn and go back. Once hit the freeway, temperature drop back down to 170. May be time to change to an electric fan setup.

I got the DMT carbon fiber overlay for the center console and instrument panel. May be work on that today instead.

If you are running a clutch fan & shroud & the clutch is working properly no electric fan will do better FYI

Wifey and I made it to the beach on the 3rd try...

17 was a logjam...

Back up 280.. tried Woodside road.... no mas.

Back on 280 to 92.. forgetaboutit...

Back on 280 to 32... Pacifica FTW!

All the way to SF... went past the zoo and followed Skyline back to 280.

Then 92 to 101s.. home.

Temp climbed above 190 when we got stuck in bump and go in Woodside. The rest of the ride temp was 180-190.

Mechanical fan cannot move enough air at stop and go traffic and idle. Engine temp is fine even only moving around 25 mph consistently.

The wife and son went down to Monterrey. Easy traffic and not too crowded there!

Montery, good choice! Might try that next time.

After seeing the 17 pile up we just decided to head North and see what kind of trouble we could get into.

Mindset being it usually gets cooler as you head up the peninsula.

Heck.. it was still probably 90+ when we hit 19th Ave in SF.  :o

Was going to try to make our way up to the beach at Seal Rock & The Cliff House but there was too much traffic.

I was at 84 Woodside on Saturday around 10:45 am. Only saw a 67 Mustang going down the hill. I made it 2/3 up the hill and have to U turn due to traffic. I was planning to take 35 back to 92. Instead got back on 280 north to head home. Seems like anyone with a car was out on Saturday. I did not see a yellow Challenger.

Lighting storm at night and woke me up. Spent sometime today to sweep up my he fallen leaves and broken tree branches. Weird weather pattern.
