I thought I ....of course I made a mess all over the floor
Most people put a drain pan under the car when changing the oil............  ::)

Yea but don't have one of those large shop fans blowing under the car when you pull the drain plug... :headbang: :drunk:

and now have to figure out where to get rid of the old oil....
I take mine (& filter) to our local Hazardous Waste Depot. They're close enough and free.

Decided that after Oscar blew a fuse that he needed to get some training in for the day.

I know there are those who will disagree with my decision, but I'm putting the QA1 triangulated four link coil over set up in the back end of the Challenger. Since I have a mid 60's B body housing, there is a little tweaking that I needed to the front hanger mounts. So today I did some mockup to get everything lined up. The picture do not show the offset bracket that I am working on, but turned out not to be super hard to do.  Also, my rear wheels are in, so a little mockup there as well.

I went out to the garage to where I've been ignoring the old girl, patted her on the arse and put the envelope containing my registration and paperwork for Moparfest on the seat. It was good for me.  ;)

I went for a half hour run with a buddy in his 69 Charger, had a couple brews and came home by a different route. Was able to do a little 80 mph on some stretches of open road.

First, the 16 years old grandson and I went over to my friend's house to look at the 72 Challenger I just bought that needs a little welding done, body and paint work and everything put back on it - just a rolling shell now. He told me he wants to work with me to put this car back together like we want it. I told him it's at least a 3 year commitment. He wants to do it. Next, we came back to the house and he wanted to work on the Charger. The TQ carb is leaking gas out the base to manifold gasket after turning engine off like it's flooding. Anyway, I have another rebuilt TQ and he said let's put it on and start it again. I was surprised as he is always on his phone. He put it away as we worked together and he was the one who started the car several times to check for and correct any fuel leaks. He loves to work on cars. So, I guess it will be the Challenger next instead of my other 74 Charger. He's aware he'll be doing the majority of the work. He likes painting the cars also - he did some of it on the 74 Rallye Charger.

The wife is away out of town and wants me to cut down a dead tree before I play with the car. She likes to micro manage the hell out of me. so I sent her a picture of my progress so far this morning. Apparently I can now have the whole day working on the car

My wife, Sheryl, and I went and worked on a friends 67 Barracuda. With stage 4 and 2 strokes, he's now unable to complete the interior work on his car. He sat in his wheelchair and watched us until he got too tired. We installed his door panels, arm rests, door seals, window sweeps and looked at what we needed to find to complete the car. I just wish I knew more about 67 Barracudas. He enjoyed seeing the interior nearly complete. It's difficult to see someone you've known for years go through this. This is a great hobby with opportunities to help others and be kind.
