I sure hope you had someone inspect parts before sending overseas.

I did not,  :o  they would let me know if there was major damage to the boxes though. It was a firewall/cowl, inner fenders, floor pieces, nothing I can't fix if there is a dent or a bent edge. I would be more concerned if it was the outer panels.

I agree. I was getting quarters and a decklid myself so damage would have been much more of an issue for me.

Just to reiterate...similar to Runcharger's comments....

AMD does NOT package panels very well at all. I work for a fortune 500 company where we have a packaging department and lab set up to test packaging of the products we sell. Yes, we invest millions in packaging. The type of $hit that AMD packages their panels in would not pass even the elementary of inspections at a grade school level. Be warned, and don't get your hopes up. Be prepared to send back.

Cowel panels and light pieces like that are probably going to come through fine. But something like a trunk lid or a hood that is big, bulky, has corners that will directly take the blunt of any drop, is highly likely to encourage damage. So much so that it's probably not even UPS that caused it, but highly likely it arrived from Taiwan damaged already.

Let me try to explain again. AMD packages their trunk lid by putting 1" thick 3"x3" soft foam blocks on all four corners (in which half of them will already come split open) and then they throw it in a bubble wrap envelope.  They them shove 1 sheet of large brown paper behind the large flaps which offers very limited protection. That all goes into a box with zero reinforcement. THATS IT. No other inner packaging. No large foam blocks that will protect any drops. No other cardboard. I don't even have a packaging engineering degree and I know for 100% certain I can design something better.

btw, my trunk lid box did not look beat to crap either. It had one puncture wound that was 1/2" in diameter which left a little ding on the lid. The corners of the box didn't look beat up. Yet the trunk lid was damaged on 3 of the 4 sides, with one corner being bent.

Tamaraz, or whomever you are buying from, should open the box, pull out the part, and inspect before they ship to customers. Hell, they should do that right when they receive the stock to protect themselves. So far, I believe that AMD products are very nice, but it doesn't make any sense to make a very nice product and have a good probability of it arriving to your end customer damage. No one benefits.

Still have not got a refund, he has had my $ almost a month now, NO Parts and No $!!!  I just filed a claim with Paypal !!!!  Never ever again!!

I'm waiting for a front valence. Not calling though. Just gonna wait and see what happens. I already got my other stuff and very happy with packaging and price. If I end up with a refund for the valence...oh well...but I can wait for quite a while. Hopefully it will get shipped. If it takes a few months, I'm ok with it.

If you get it someday, post the outcome. It's just a theory of mine that they will try and cancel if you call. That's the only thing I can think of. Every other company out there would contact you and cancel providing the appropriate refund without even being asked. Saddens me that their customer service and communication was so bad this time around. Especially bothered by how many others got jerked around. I probably won't go to them again unless there is a massive savings in it for me. I would have sung their praises up until this sale.

I got my refund yesterday after 5 calls, yes, 5. I still wish their site had been up-to-date, i would have picked something else to get a deal on. It's a shame they're burning so many people.

Someone found an obituary for a Mr. Tamraz dating to around 12/08/2018...I suspect things have since changed at Tamraz.

This is Absolutely Ridiculous to spend this much time and money and have to call 5 times to get your money back that they have kept!!!

That explains a great deal. I've bought from them for years and never experienced anything like this. I can't help but wonder now if the heirs wanted quick cash by selling off a bunch of inventory at half off. There is no way they could have made money on that deal. I also can't help but wonder if the company's days are numbered.

RUNCHARGER

I think I would not panic just yet. They may have responded to a family emergency and don't have enough staff to keep up with all the calls. Everything has been paid for with a credit card so you will receive money back if it is due.

I was waiting on a front valance also, he told me they were out of stock and I said I can wait, he said I can wait but he wont honor the sale price!!!

I waited without calling to see how it would pan out. I recently got an email indicating they were refunding the $$ for the front valence I was waiting for.  :dunno:

That's messed up. They held onto your money for two full months and only now are ready to give it back? I've noticed they haven't had any sales since then.

Ya, it is. But everybody that called were told their order was being cancelled, and it was only a little over a hundred bucks I figured I'd wait and see. Now I see I'm not getting a valence.... :verymad:
