I tried to bench test some alternators today, did not go well. I think my drill is too slow and don't grip the wheel on the alternator.
I got a small volt reading above battery level, but no where near the 14,2 Volts recommended for charging.
Battery was charged so it should not be too much of a load. A small battery charger reads 14,2 right away.
I don't like testing on the car, have 8 alternators to test....PITA.
