OK, here we go..... leaving tomorrow to get it. I got fed up with some things and told them the drop dead date was 10/24....well that is tomorrow. I was told it would be ready but apparently it hasn't been dyno'ed yet. Supposedly today but haven't heard a thing. I've heard some nightmare stories about what is happening at the shop so I'm so glad I am bringing it back. Even if it isn't 100% I said I was taking it and don't ask for anymore time. So we'll see when I get there. Not sure I will be able to post anything about it after tonight because I am closing up my parents house in NJ while I am there and not sure if the internet is still on. So I apologize up front if this thread is idle for over a week after tonight. I will be back home 11/02 barring no issues driving the truck and trailer back down.  :fingerscrossed:  :drinkingbud:

Well I  got her back home finally   :woohoo: :woohoo: :bradsthumb: :bradsthumb: . But it wasn't fun or w/o issues. W/o making this a book I had to pay an additonal $2500 for work that wasn't authorized or needed in my opinion. Biggest thing was they had a carburetor guy come and do work on the carb because they said it wasn't tunable. That carburetor worked well before. It was crazy. I told them I didn't want them to go above a cetain price and if they thought it was to just stop and load the car. I was so fed up and also realized stuff was taken out of my trailer ( speed jack, timing light, fuel funnel, etc.) and of course no one knows about it. So I might have to right that off. I couldn't wait to get her out and just leave. Anyway, after 21 hours of driving I go to take her out of the trailer and she won't start. Well I figured that out then there was no reverse. I figured that out and finally pulled her in the garage. But the header collector was bent ( I asked about it and was told it must have hit the trailer floor when pulling it in... It has never hit the floor)and one of the tubes is out so it is overly loud and I realized the break in oil was never changed so I had to do that but they did reimburse me for it (after they charged me for it).... shall I go on... Anyway, she's home in the garage. . The car and interior is very clean though. The ordeal is finally over but I have no budget..... At All....left so I have to figure out how I can register her. Even the engine builder was very upset how they billed themselves a top of the line shop. Sorry if this is just blabberish. I have an appt to take it to a local exhaust place to fix a few things. I will post some pics when I can and start her up for a video. She starts well and idles well so I am happy about that.

Wow your more "cool" about it than I would be. Sounds like a great place to get a car away from!

I was hoping for a much better report.  Unfortunately you will find other issues.  Dont let these series of unfortunate circumstances ruin you from enjoying your car once its on the road.  Most of us have way more into the hobby than we should, but I never think about the financial side when I am out cruising.  I imagine doing some burnouts and getting the ol heart a beating when flooring it will be some healthy therapy. :bradsthumb:

Good luck getting it dialed in and I am sorry to hear you still have issues to work out.

Arrg Well at least you have it home now even if it takes some time to rebuild financially before moving forward again you now have it & it runs .  :looney:

I may sound cool about it but really I am just so fed up I don't even want to write about it. I try to keep my chin up. I noticed a wheel stud had back out but the nut was still on it. I fixed that this morning real quick. They did do a few dyno pulls to 5500 rpm. I didn't get any sheets but they said it made around 700 to the wheel at 10lbs of boost. There should be more than that. I am going to send out the carb back to Kevin at CSU so he can fix what they did. Then I'll find a good tuner and hopefully have it done right. If I can I will take some pics and a video later today.

700 Hp at the tires is incredible , I could always tune it but I am not local !!
