70 Challenger Lover

Been watching the show live while at work and they had a 1970 Challenger cross the block for $17k flat. I was blown away how low it sold for. Nice looking car too. JH car originally with RT hood and exhaust. Probably had an upgraded motor but not sure. Really nice burnt orange paint with a white top and interior. Not a show winner by any means but that was one car I would have bought. Who knows though, maybe it was junk underneath.

Seeing something on TV and seeing it in person is two different things. :alan2cents:

I've never been....yet...but a friend of mine went a couple times to BJ. He said a lot of decent cars are sold for reasonable $$ just not televised.
Cars that were restored to a driver level but sold for less $$ than the owner probably had in it.

18700.00 with commission, good price for any running, driving complete 1970 Challenger, even a base car with a transplanted big block...

Wow nice looking ride for the money! I'd guess the seller is not to happy?

Maybe he bought it back himself... pay the buyer and seller's commission and bring it back home...

Exactly. That was a steal. I've been to these shows on day one just as it starts. The action is pitiful. That car would have done much better on a different day and time.

As a seller, I'd never go to BJ since they don't have reserves anymore. I'd be pissed to sell my car for half price and then pay a ten percent commission on top of that.

I'd definitely buy there though.

From what I seen on TV that car seemed to be really rough around the edges. Even had some collision damage. Likely looked even worse in person.

According to the description, this Barracuda ''has been restored using donor vehicles ''
Another way to say ''rebody''? ;-)
