Life is to be viewed thru the windshield. Not rear view mirror.
You are the only one in charge of your destiny.

ignites great memories
Reminds me of my younger days
We hand two spots where we would drag race in our town
We witnessed a similar tragedy with deadly results.
We had a long stretch of road in an industrial area where we go to race at night.
Two guys I know; one with a cobra jet 69 mustang, the other with a 440, 1968 Charger challenged each other (the old Ford vs Mopar rivalry) had the spotter start the race.
Mustang driver lost control and went into a phone pole. Died instantly.

We had fun; but we were young and stupid with our fast muscle cars in the early 70's
Pic of the Charger before the race.

Similar stories in Fremont California where I grew up and sadly many other cities/ towns. But Absolutely some great times with cars and cruising. Strong car culture back then. Did some stupid stuff too.

Yup here as well. No personal tragedies but definitely a few vehicle ones.
None mine.  :worship:
Famous local one was Phoebe street. There was a 1/4 mile marked off area behind the Nabisco plant. Wide street in an industrial part of town.

If anyone recalls a massive explosion and building collapse on the tv show Macgyver. Original series. That building was the Nabisco plant being demolished. Was filmed to put in show.
