Turnkey Pallet.
I bought this engine but not the whole pallet.

Very cool.   It sounds tame, but I'm sure it's not short of torque and horse power.

Wow. That is cool engine test pallet!  Is the brake pedal needed?
I got one also, but I didn't think you needed to hook it up.

Ordered a US Car Tool K-Member Stand/Cart so we can put the engine and trans on the cart together and roll it under and lower the body onto the K-Member. They were sold out and were waiting for some to come back from powder coating.
Ours will be QA1 K, 6.1 and 727

Ordered mine from their EBay Store.
Pictures are reference from the web.

We have a Firm Feel Manual 16:1 box and plan for EPAS (Electric Power Assisted Steering)
Need to decide on a steering column to incorporate the EPAS and choose a steering wheel.

Anyone done this already?

Also wondering if we can adapt a modern Wheel with paddles and steering wheel mounted controls? Stereo Volume, Source, Channel, Cruise Control.

Also would like to incorporate paddles to actuate the Gear Vendors OD on/off switch. Wired so either paddle can be used to shift in or out of OD.
Two switches with relays connected in a way to allow either switch to be used to engage or disengage the OD.
That is to say whatever position the OD switch is in, either paddle would switch it in or out.

Maybe a Challenger wheel with the Airbag deployed and replaced with upholstered horn pad and a Barracuda logo stitched in it.
May not use all the switches and could re-purpose some...
With Airbag they are very expensive. Would not want an airbag in there anyway.

Without Airbag they are not that expensive.
Would just need to fill the empty void left by the missing airbag.

Non SRT Challenger Wheel

How to adapt this to the steering column?

Got my US Car Tool K-Member Stand/Cart put together today.
I had to modify it a little to fit my QA1 K-Member.
I utilized the Sway Bar Mounting holes on the K and a couple extra parts to mount the K on the stand by the sway bar mounts.
It centers the K better. Had to ream out the holes in the K for the Hotchkis Strut bar bushings to fit.
Killed 2 Harbor Freight Step Bits in the process.
I test fit the UCA and strut bars. Probably take them off before trying to set the engine on it.
Now to get the engine on it. Bought a HF Engine Hoist so I can pick up the engine and set it on the K.
My helper is gone for winter break so it's just me. Mostly just me even when he's here...  but I don't mind.
It's good ME time.

The Control Arms are powder coated. The ball joints I painted with Cast Blast.

Having replaced the clock spring/wiring in a couple these I do not see how this type of steering wheel could be used without bringing the matching column along..

Project is Lookin Good  :woohoo:
