303 Mopar

I'm running Hankook Ventus V12 245/45/18 and 275/40/18 with US Mag U111 Rambler textured gunmetal grey 18x8 and 18x9.5.  The stock spring location gives abut 3/4" room, fits inside the rear quarters with no rolled lips.  Fronts also fit perfect, no rolled lips, not rubbing on frame.

What wheels are you running?
Any pictures of the rear setup?

On my Challenger with the b-body rear end  and offset shackles I'm using 18x11 on all 4 corners, rear tires are 295/40/18 out back rear rim offset is 5.5"  front is irrelevant, as I made wide body fenders to suit the tires size but they are 315/30/18 with .5" offset .

I have the exact same set up as.....303 Mopar.  He posted the specs.  Here are a couple of pictures...

There's a thread over on Moparts where a guy was running 315's front and back on 18x10.5" wheels.  They fit  but were close and he wouldn't share his specific wheel offset because these cars do vary.  His car is shown here and has been on some videos I've seen.  http://www.rylispro.com/
But, it can be done and 305's should be easy.

I went with 275/50ZR17 in the rear.

Unfortunately, it does rub a little bit.

My rear quarters were replaced by the previous owner and have pretty large lip on the inside. Is this normal?

Should I cut that off, roll it, or both?

gzig5

I wouldn't hesitate to cut off the excess that is outside the trim if that gets you what you need.
I've never seen one fully rolled with the trim on.  You might be able to bend it a little but I would be surprised if the trim cooperates.  If you aren't married to the trim piece, pull it and roll it.

GoodysGotaCuda

The trim complicates it a bit. You can cut the lip as long as it's not going through any spot welds.

Looks like the wheel offset is more of the problem. I run a 295 on a not trimmed stock wheel well, car is lowered as well.

So with the B body rear..
The consensus is a 15x10 with a 5 inch backspacing,
I'd like to bump it to a 17, but the style of wheel I like doesn't come in a 10 wide with a 5 inch backspacing.
What would a 17x9.5 with a 5.56 inch backspacing be like?

Google "Wheel Offset Calculator".  several out there that you can play with the numbers in and visualize the results.  Some give very detailed results and others are more basic
For the scenario you describe given equal width an height tires, the inside edge of the tire will be .83" closer to the frame and the outer sidewall .83" farther from the wheel well lip.

295-50-15 cooper on an s.s. Cragar wheel.  Did an add-a-leaf on my springs which are in stock location.  Gives it a rake which some people like and some don't. It's all a matter of personal opinion I guess

Man...............

I'm still having a hell of a time picking out wheels and tires.

If anyone else sees this, post up pictures and
specs please, this is driving me nuts LOL

Well, what type of look do you want, stock, retro, more modern, road race inspired, drag inspired?  Try to narrow down the genre then you can bounce around in the specific styles.
