Interesting question :thinking: AMD's website makes no mention of a notch on either their 70 or 71 listing...The only notch I can think of is up top at the front of some 71 fenders, usually not found in 1970...
Maybe putting that on the box is their way of saying it fits both years but doesn't have the notch....I would assume they don't makes one WITH notches  :dunno:

Sorry I haven't posted on this in a while.  A few things have happened since I last posted in the beginning of 2020 (Covid, job change, death of my father, and on and on) but starting Sunday, the conversion/restoration will begin.  Starting with an engine/trans pull. 

Here are a couple of pics again for the "before".

The T/A conversion is under way. Pulled the 318 and 904 today.  340 is at the machine shop.   Next to start the disassembly.
