Good luck, always wanted a 70 Cuda  :bigthumb:

I noticed the tan interior. Do you have all the interior pieces and are they in good condition? It seems to me I saw some tan interior stuff for sale not long ago but I couldn't find it last night.

Honestly...I don't see me putting it back to original although I haven't made a final  decision.  Are pieces for that color interior even available?

What's going through your head on the possibilities?  Maybe keep it original or what other thoughts?  Are you thinking of a resto-mod?  Maybe a New Hemi swap?

I think the Tan with F8 would look good.   :1place:

6bblgt

is it a CANADA spec. car?

of the 16,710 US spec. '70 BS23s: (around 1,000 additional 'cudas for CANADA)
340 4bbl ~ 6,032 US total *** 36.1%
EF8 - "ivy green metallic" ~ 1,270 US total *** 7.6%
H6T5 - tan vinyl buckets ~ 368 US total *** 2.2%

Just a thought and Alan would know better but couldn't black interior pieces be painted tan? I'm not sure how that would work for seat covers though.

You can get new tan seat covers and carpet from Legendary.  Hard plastic pieces can be painted.  Not ideal, but it's probably going to be very difficult to find pristine tan interior panels.  I'm sure Herb's has a tan color in their line of interior paints.

It's so easy to go black however the tan would really look nice with F8.

For possibilities...(don't look Alan) I would love to build it into a Plum Crazy AAR clone. Another possibilty is take it back to original but that does seem like a difficult (and pricey) option given the cars current state. A new Hemi swap would be awesome but from what I've seen that looks very expensive and I won't have the budget for it.

I agree the tan would look great with F8..... I will do a bit of research to see what I can find for tan pieces. Does anybody know what it would look like if I were to try to spray tan over a black dashpad...as in do you think it would cover? Or is there a company that can supply one in tan?

Herb's interior paints are really nice.  I used their pearl white paint to redo some plastic bucket seat hinge covers that started out black.  I sprayed them with SEM white as a base and then sprayed the pearl over the top.  They really look great.

I'm not sure if you'd have to spray some type of base over the black first or if Herb's tan will cover by itself.  I'd call them and ask.
