Fought the 100+ f heat working on everything, but now I'm sick and need to rest a few days.

Got the interior all tore apart and almost completely rewired. Hid a mini relay box under the battery tray and wired them into headlights, ignition, and electric fuel pump circuits with oil pressure safety switch.  Just finished requiring for the new custom Dakota digital gauges in the cab.  Going to restore the dash frame and other dash metal, thinking real hard about trying to powder coat it a matte black. Also rebuilt an old heater box and welded/patched up a hacked up firewall from what I assume was from a vintage air aftermarket unit.  That was a chore with the engine still in.  Next is tanks inc setup and bending 1/2" ss supply/return lines. Decided not to go fuel injection, but I'm going to continue with this anyway.  Final project is getting hydroboost and firm feel power steering conversion purchased, too bad that will have to wait for more $

Don't kill yourself working in the heat , hard to enjoy the car if you perish in the heat

Finally got the rear sway bar installed on the R/T SE!!!!  A/C condenser is the next project. :ohyeah:
Contrary to the opinions of some, I am not dumber than I look.

Does your PS leak when its just sitting or after you run the car?  I know this may sound stupid, but if it leaks when you are running it is it possible you have too much fluid? Had this problem once is why I am mentioning it.

Turned out one of the fittings was bad. A buddy chucked it up in a lathe and cleaned it up, problem solved.
Mopar or no car!!!

Started the grille blackout with the SEM Trim Black, damn that paint smells good !
A couple of repairs to do at the grille , then repaint Light Argent.

We took the wife's car to it's first cruise in/car show.

It was about a 40 minute drive.
I was a little nervous as it was the first time taking the car on the highway.
The car ran great in the hot humid weather and the wheels didn't fall off so I was relieved.

We couldn't stay too long but we had a fun time and her car got lots of attention.

All of this, is going in there.  Probably going to need more than a day.

Cleaning up the underside of rear floor and rear shock mount area prior to installing a new trunk floor.
Dirty work, but worth it.

Finally got my heads back from machine shop to put on new springs for the new cam.  Did a bit of painting. Need to clear coat the grill in the morning and then start reassembling everything.

:wrenching: I'm still in the evaluation stage. Frame rails are very soild except for the very end where the leaf springs attach   :crying: Does that mean entire frame rails need to be replaced? I believe I'm leaning towards repair rather than replace the trunk. The other question I have,  and it looks a little odd to me, is the area very near where the rear seat belt attaches (probably caused by damage from an accident before i bought the car). It appears to be in front of where the wheelhouse would attach but behind the foot well and to the side of where a full trunk panel would cover. I'm thinking that it will have to be fabricated, is that a fair assumption?

finally finished the heater box. got a nice copper core heater from rockauto, but it wasn't the best fit (they didn't do the best job at soldering the tube plate to the tubes in the right spot/angle), so I had to trim the tube plate a little, but it fits now. also thought my motor was toast and dreaded spending $200 on a rebuild. as luck would have it, my motor is just fine.

also starting working on the driver side fresh air vent. it's cracked in the middle, so I'm plasti-welding it. the vent plate itself is pretty damn rough though and doesn't look like any repros made for it yet. was able to save the rubber seal thankfully. evaluating to see if I can repair the plate (think I can) or having one fabricated.
