Be sure to weld in your VIN number and metal finish it properly to the upper cowl before installing it... :alan2cents:

Finally after 2 and half months, the car is back on the ground.. New Dr Diff rear axles and all new wheels.. This car is so far from original, just had to add more 70s look. Hoping to do a show this coming Saturday.

Drove my Challenger for the first time in '22.   :stayinlane: Despite warmer weather in the area, the car had an extended stay in my garage while I worked through a punch list of items large and small that I felt a need to address while the car was up on jack stands.   These items included:

- installed Year One seat relocation brackets
- installed an OE (for a '71+) rear sway bar
- re-covered all of the front window guides with the "fuzzy" part of some Velcro strips
- replaced missing plastic pins on weather seals for doors
- installed new hood to radiator seal
- installed the control arm splash guards
- rearranged the clutch pedal (again) and adjusted the angle of the clutch master
- covered areas on splash guards in front wheel wells that had been cut away during
- inner fender brace installation
- tightened parking brake cable
- "massaged" the trans tunnel with a deadblow hammer to make more room around the gas pedal for my big feet
- bent the clutch pedal arm to create more room between the brake and clutch pads
- made some changes to the throttle cable bracket to remove slack
- rotated a section of exhaust pipe to keep it away from a rubber shock absorber boot
- tightened DS valve cover bolts to try and stop an oil leak onto the top of the manifold (didn't fix it)
- removed a magnetic sign that had fallen inside my DS door during my one and only car show appearance

still need to get A/C system working, but that can wait a little longer

Drove mine out of the shop under it's own power :)

I finally found a shop to fix the rear of the 70 Challenger. It is getting new:
frame rails
trunk floor + extensions
tail light bar
cross bar
trunk lid + filler and drip edges
1 quarter straightened
1 quarter replaced if I can find one.
Then the rest of the summer pouring parts in it!

I also snuck the new 727 in my 67 Charger. Engine is next.

Was in the driveway this morning to start working on one of my cars. A dam copperhead was in my driveway. I killed it with my shovel in my garage.
