72 Challenger

It's getting cold up here so I decided to run the car  and fill it up with gas, take it for a good drive for one last smile of the year. The Duster was clearly unimpressed with me and decided to start leaking coolant onto the passenger footwell. Where my heater box clamps together was wet. I guess Santa is going to bring me a new heater core.

I stopped at the dollar store, picked up a cheap oven pan and kept on driving it. Nothing was going to ruin my last drive!
Someday I will have a J0b.

Installing the torsion bars so the car has a suspension again. Went one step up from my 78-79 bars to 80-81's from Mopar Performance.
Went in pretty easy, knocked in last section with a large wooden dowl.
Seal went over the end easily with very lite use of a heat gun.

Thinking of installing this somewhat aftermarket 1980's period correct option for a third brake light that some put on their 1970's cars
Maybe will use the logic circuit board in it to install a different LED light although it will work with an LED bulb exchange itself

You can so whatever you want but I think the value in that piece is as a shelf display. I'm not adverse to installing it but oddity parts like these are cool things to have around for garage art.

Cool item.

Had an abundance of painters tape sitting around and decided to put it to good use.... :D
Painted the rocker moldings and installed them.  One was a repro that wasn't painted...the original was showing its age.  I am happy with how they came out.

Also made another video for this project if your interested.  https://youtu.be/Xn2GhoTxFfY

Put the car on a movable wood piece I made, pulled the car out of the garage and did some fall cleaning... first time in a year the car has saw sunlight.

Nice job on the cart, I like it.  That e-body isn't bad either :D

More reading on MS3X to get my coils to fire.
Going distributorless.

blown motor

Took it for a run into town. Put some fuel stabilizer in it and topped off the tank, just in case I don't get another run in this year.

Finished installing the rear AAR spoiler but not before dropping a nut in to the interior of the trunk lid and then luckily being able to fish it out with a flexible magnet
