Machine shop checked my 340's connecting rod small ends (floating piston pin) and says all but one are fine.  That "one" has a bushing that seems "too loose" in the hole and the rod may have been machined too large from the factory (47 years ago?).   :notsure:

They are looking for an oversized bushing to install.

Thoughts?    :help:

Very nice of you Ken!
If that doesn't work out , I have machined rods before to install new bushings. They get honed to size afterwards. I'm sure any competent rebuild shop can handle this.

So, in the case of the rod hole being too large, are there different size bushings available, or can the rod hole be knurled or something to allow for a tighter fit of the bushing?  :notsure:

to my knowledge the bushing needs to be replaced  this should not be hard to find or do .
I believe only 2 years had floating pins though all other years were pressed pin
