Serious slowdown on the site today

I couldn't agree more. I get a little down and out not being able to do as much as I want on mine, but coming back here to lurk and see what other folks are doing has been keeping me plugging along little pieces at a time. looked at the resources page for the first time in a year and can't believe how much it's grown, there is a WEALTH of invaluable knowledge on this site that has far surpassed any of it's predecessors and it will be a legendary resource for DECADES to come. that's a helluva legacy to the hobby and community

I flipped a couple switches to clear some thing out. We had a large volume of spammers that hit the site and slowed it down, but I think I got them all out now. Thank you for letting me know right away.

We added another layer of defense to see if we can stop these stupid spammer bots.

Hopefully this will keep them from slowing us down.
