Hey thank you for that....I didn't realize we had a thread going for cats as well...my bad :headbang:

That's Ok, we allow cats in the dog thread... We're not racist... Breedist?    Looks pretty cute...

I lost a family member last week.  A black Lab named Hank. He was like a kid, always playing with me. He was 12 and he hated Veterinary staff.
My daughter called and said he wasn't doing good, so my wife stopped by to check on him and he was in his favorite spot. He raised his head to see who it was, my wife started rubbing his head and talking to him and he peacefully passed. It was like he was waiting for someone to come. Hank was a family member and he was treated better than a lot of people.
Get in, I'll drive

Sorry to hear about Hank.  Glad your wife got to say goodbye to him.  I hope my dog waits for me.  Sadly that time is coming soon.

Sorry to hear about Hank. It's like loosing a kid. Our Wilbur hated to go to the vet clinic also, got all scared and nervous there. Luckily my wife work at a vet clinic so we could have him at home when he passed, surrounded by family. It was sad, but nice in a way.

I spend three weeks skiing Banff/Sunshine/Lake Louise back in the late eighties... I have a bunch of photos of one of those big horned dogs trapped in a fenced yard... He stripped every bit of bark off a couple trees before finding his way out of the yard....
