Anyone else into the old trucks? Before I get my cuda fixed from the fire I decided to at least get my truck project somewhat together so been working on it. It`s a `76 clubcab W100, started life as a dark green /6 4 spd 4wd short bed but going V8 with Sublime main color and black lower and hood similar to the Power Wagon design.

Cool project, I always love to see what other projects people are up to !  :clapping: :bradsthumb:

That must be an incredible amount of work. You must really love doing it. I'm more of a buy and drive guy. It's going to look cool when you're done.

cool truck.   I'm surprised that much work is going into a /6 truck.

I'm into trucks.  I have a 77 ramcharger 440 and a 78 short bed 318.

Old trucks are great. Talk about a lot of work, this is what I got.

RUNCHARGER

I like them: I restored this one about 15 years ago, original 440 Shorty.

I do enjoy restoring these rusty old vehicles myself but mainly it`s because I can never afford to buy a done one, but this one was a major project. I originally went to look at a `75 standard cab 8' bed 318 4spd truck which was in a little better shape but when I saw the guy had the clubcab I had to restore that instead. It won`t be an actual resto but modified with either the 318 from the `75 or might build a 360 I have, should be a fun truck when I`m done.

I like the paint scheme.

I've considered doing my ramcharger in that paint scheme with yellow and black.

So since you are into trucks.  I have a question.

My 727 has lost reverse.  I've been looking for over a year to find one close enough for me to pick up.

I just purchased a 4x4 727 but it was connected to a 208 transfer.  The 208 rear housing is 10" where my 203 housing is 8.5".
Is the main shaft different in the transmission?   Would I need to find a 727 that has a shorter main shaft?
Or can I just take the housing off my 203 and install it on the 208 727?  With a bearing and gasket of course.

I actually don`t know crap about 4wd systems and transfer cases as this is my first truck restoration. If you are on FB check out tin grill, 1972-1993 Dodge pages or maybe For trucks only forum, lots of guys way more knowledgable then me on those sites.

It's going to look awesome.   :bradsthumb:

After quadrupling my original budget for my cuda, I'd be terrified to do what you're doing.

It is a lot of fun and therapeutic to work on these old rigs so go for it and enjoy the process.
